Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are informing you of an upcoming pupil-free day to fall on Monday the 5th of September.
Question: Why the extra pupil-free day in Term 3?
Answer: The Victorian government has recently reached an agreement with the teaching union to replace the current enterprise agreement which will see professional practice days continue for teachers.
The department wishes to minimise the interruption to students’ learning by having one day interrupted in Term 3. Schools have been allowed to determine the date for their Professional practice day. Professional practice days are separate to the staff professional development days that occur every term. Wodonga Middle Years College has consulted school council who have approved the date, Monday the 5th September, Week 9.
