The year 8 structure has been designed to allow students to continue their common curriculum in their home group as well as have the opportunity to elect 4 subjects of interest each semester (1 x PE, 1 x Art, 1 x Technology and 1 x Free Choice).
To provide students with the best opportunity to succeed in learning a language other than English the College offers year 8 students a whole year immersion program in Japanese or Indonesian as one of their electives. For further information about our subject on offer please refer to our subject selection booklet.
Those students interested in the AVID program can select this as an elective in year 8 and 9.
Also, some electives are offered across-year levels to further engage and extend students. These are the electives within the Vertical Group.
