WMYC Students at Platform 9 Coffee School Ths Week
Students participating in the Green Bean Program have been preparing for their popup coffee shop at Gateway Health to be held on June 14th, attending a Ten week Barista course to develop their skill set at the Platform 9 Coffee School. Glen and Julia Fenech are the owners and instructors at Platform 9, they also operate two cafes as well as selling equipment and supplies to the general public. Students have been learning new skills such as texturing milk and grinding up coffee beans. The students attending the course will gain a certificate of attainment which they can then later use to assist in applying for jobs in the hospitality or in a café industry.
The College would like to thank Glen and Julia for preparing our students for their upcoming event on June 14th.
