Students in the Green Program held their pop up coffee shop at Gateway Health on Thursday 14 which saw them take part in preparing and serving coffee and small deserts.

15 students from the program have been training and preparing for 9 weeks at the Platform 9 Coffee School to learn barista skills to use in the coffee shop and as well as outside of school.

After the course is finished students will obtain a certificate of obtainment which they can use to assist them to find work outside of school. The students loved the experience and advise that all other schools should take part in the same way.
The College would like to thank Glen and Julia from Platform 9 for preparing and assisting our students at the event and to the many who came and enjoyed both coffee and treats who also supported the event and work of Border Trust with donations adding up to $360.
