Home / Special Announcements / Gardening For a Sustainable Future

Last year our harvest program was involved in the Sustainable Living Festival organised by the Albury and Wodonga City Councils. As part of our involvement, we held an open garden day to showcase different projects that our students are involved with on our beautiful grounds.

Our visitors were very impressed with the passion that our students display for our wild life corridors, wicking beds and the huge diversity of   beneficial plants we grow across our campuses. The HOLP (Hands On Learning Project)  group were commended for their excellent work in constructing all of our wicking beds. Our College also held a very popular market stall at QEII Square, selling plants, seeds, preserves, woodwork and textile creations, all made by our very talented students. School Harvest involves students in a wide range of hands on activities aiming to develop awareness and skills needed for a more sustainable lifestyle.
