Transition Process

Transitioning to a new school can be different for all children. Some may find it exciting; some may find it harder, some may not notice a great deal of difference. Kylie Fortington, Assistant Principal at Felltimber, provides information in this short video on how Wodonga Middle Years College supports children and families transitioning to the College.

How to enrol your child in Year 7

At the beginning of Term 2 your primary school will distribute the Department’s ‘Application for Year 7 Placement Form’. You will need to follow the instructions on this form and return to your primary school by the date listed on the form.

Please note Wodonga Middle Years College will only accept direct year 6 to 7 enrolments from students home schooled or attend a non-government primary school, as per the transition guidelines. All other enrolments must be submitted via the student’s current primary school.

Curriculum & Programs

At Wodonga Middle Years College, we focus on a dynamic relationship between teachers, students, parents/carers and learning. Gary Hodge, Assistant Principal at Huon, shares how the College works to improve students academically.

Academic Advancement Program

The Academic Advancement Program is an accelerated learning program designed to support achievement for students with high educational aspirations. Our aim is to have all students who participate in the program to achieve their learning goals in a supportive yet challenging environment. Students that are highly motivated and have strong academic results are encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the Academic Advancement Program.
