Over the weekend of 1st-4th June four teams of VEX robotics students from Huon and Felltimber flew to Sydney to participate in the World Skill Show.

The World Skill show is a showcase for Trade based competition that pits apprentice against apprentice across a range of STEM centric disciplines. Our College was invited to compete having been involved in last year’s VEX Robotics Season and finishing as the leading Regional Victorian School in VEX IQ.

Student teams competed over three days designing, building and testing robots to compete in game based challenges against teams from New Zealand. Competition over the three days was fierce with two teams from our College having the skills to collect podium finishes with their impressive building, coding and control work.

Congratulations to Will Miller and Toby Arundel for their Bronze and to Jacob Hawkings and Griffin Armstrong for their Silver Medal representing Australia and the college against the New Zealand teams.
