Wodonga Middle Years College have had a long history of involvement with the Albury Wodonga Solar Car Challenge which is now in its 14th year. The College will once again take on the challenge for this years race assisted by their industry partner JC Butko to design and build the 2018 model. Today was the launch of this years Challenge and saw each of the 15 schools presented with a solar panel to be used for their cars and various components from the major sponsor of the event Wilson Transformers. This project provides a great introduction to a broad range of career options for the participating students to consider for their future pathways. The team has 12 weeks to prepare for race day which will be held on Friday 18th October at Wilson Transformers in Wodonga. Watch this space for more news from the WMYC Solar Car Challenge Team.
