Students from the Felltimber Campus Solar Car Challenge team visited its industry partner JC Butko Engineering this Tuesday. Mechanical Designer, Matt Wiencke gave students a tour of the facilities and explained how the different machinery was used to fabricate components including the high pressure water cutter that is being used to create the chassis for the 2018 Solar Car Challenge. Our students were appreciative of this opportunity to explore the industry gaining an understanding of the processes used in design and manufacturing process.
