Year 7 Felltimber student Isabelle Rebetzke has been awarded first place in the regional River of Stories Writing Competition, getting a chance to share her story through creating poetry. Isabelle selected to enter into the Year 7/8 poetry category in this year’s competition where she wrote a piece about loneliness and the effect that this can have.

Taking just over a period, Isabelle wrote two revisions to perfect her submission to the competition, which was awarded with the top prize earlier in the month.
“I found the whole process interesting, I was able to share my story at what I was feeling”, Isabelle said.
An awards presentation was held at the Albury Library Museum over the weekend, where finalists in the other categories from our region were acknowledged. Well done Isabelle!
