A group of Year 9 Drama students from the Felltimber campus have had their artwork displayed in the newly refurbished NECAMHS facilities on High street at the opening yesterday morning, receiving first place in the groups category.

NECAMHS have sought submissions from young people for artworks to display on the walls of their office spaces, with a theme of ‘What mental health means to me’, providing students with an opportunity to explore mental health.

The group worked together to form the concept of their artwork based on the competition theme ‘What mental health means to me’, taking to photography to capture a journey of emotions through symbolic gestures and poses. Throughout this process the students started to learn about why it is important to reach out and seek additional support from services such as Headspace and NECAMHS in our region.
