Dear parents and carers,
I’m writing to let you know there was an incident at school at around 12pm today involving an adolescent who is not a member of our school community. This incident prompted us to enact our student safety procedures.
We took immediate action and informed Victoria Police. On their advice, students returned to their classrooms early from lunch break while police attended.
Once police deemed the school to be safe, we returned to our normal daily routine.
We regularly practise these safety procedures, and I am pleased at the manner in which our students quickly and maturely responded.
The health, safety and wellbeing of students remains our top priority, and wellbeing support is available for any students who may need it. Please contact the school if you feel that your child would like to take up the offer of counselling support tomorrow.
