On Thursday, the Year 9 textiles Cosplay class learnt how to produce various special-effects make-up pieces including fake cuts and bruises, with others working on building some props. The class is learning skills and techniques that are transferable to the prop making and special effects industry, allowing each students to specialise in the field that they are most passionate about.
This week students were working in groups to create effects on their arms and hands using paints and materials to produce different textures. After experimenting with various techniques the class aim to work with a school production later in the year and put into practice their prop making and special-effects makeup knowledge.
