Both campuses library are a safe, welcoming space for students and staff alike.

It provides students not only access to technology to support them with their studies, but a positive environment to encourage the enjoyment of reading. Throughout the year students have the opportunity to hear from a guest speaker such as author, Lili Wilkinson who is visiting the college on September 7th to speak with students.

Book Week 2018

Students enjoying our libraries in book week 2018.

Students are able to now eat and drink in the library and on these cold winter days, it is a great spot to hang out at lunch time as there is lots on offer in the library such as board games, Uno/cards, chess, Sphero ball robots and Kahoot! The library also has its very own Maker Space, allowing students to create and build with Lego, do jigsaw puzzles or draw and sketch.

The library is currently offers several learning spaces, a main class area where classes can come and research assignments and projects. This area is a large enough space to provide the teacher flexibility to break students off into small groups and work collaboratively. The audio visual room enables classes to view educational programs and film adaptions of novels that are studied in class.

During Term 4 the Huon library will be running both a chess competition and a Lego challenge. The library staff would love to hear from any students who would like to be involved in either of these events.
