Wodonga Middle Years College aims to empower students to fully engage in a 21st Century learning environment through the iPad. An iPad provides an opportunity for students to tap into powerful and personal learning networks. We have also found that this technology engages students in ways not previously possible, creating new learning and teaching possibilities.

Warranty & Repairs

Warranty
Apple iPads are initially covered by a limited warranty for the first 12 months from the purchase date. This warranty will cover any issue that is not the fault of the user but does not cover any physical damage to the device. To check your coverage, log into mysupport.apple.com with the Apple ID you used when setting up the device.

AppleCare+
AppleCare+ extends the initial limited 12 month warranty to two years and includes coverage for any accidental damage. However, AppleCare+ will only allow 2 claims over this two year period and also includes an excess fee of $65. AppleCare+ covers things like broken screens or other damage done to the iPad.

Repairs
We encourage all students to first bring their iPad to ICT@WMYC for all iPad related device and software issues. Our staff can resolve most software related issues and can lookup serial numbers and check warranty coverage before providing advice on repairs. However ICT@WMYC are unable to offer iPad repair services for physical damage such as a broken screen at this time.

Educom IT in Albury are our authorised Apple repair centre and work closely with ICT@WMYC. Educom will handle all Warranty and Applecare+ repairs and can pickup devices from WMYC and deliver back when repaired.

For any repairs that are outside of warranty or Applecare+, ICT@WMYC also has very close working relationships with several local iPad repairers in the Albury/Wodonga area. If an iPad screen is damaged and is no longer covered by Applecare+, Please see ICT@WMYC who will provide assistance and advice on the next step.
