Term 3 Reflection

Term 3 has seen Wodonga Middle Years College make connections with all of our feeder Primary Schools to build relationships with our prospective 2020 Year 7 students. Wodonga Middle Years College made contact with all families and provided the Enrolment Information Pack. The Student Enrolment Information Form was to be reviewed and returned to the College by Friday, September 13. Please ensure these forms are returned to the College ASAP.
Term 3 saw Wodonga Middle Years College launch our 2020 Camps Program. Students now have access to book their camps for Term 1, Week 8 2020 via our website – http://www.wmyc.vic.edu.au/camps-week-2020/
Throughout Term 3 students and their families have had the opportunity to complete campus-based tours to get an understanding of student life at Wodonga Middle Years College. Students and their families are encouraged to continue contacting the College to book tours throughout Term 4 as required.

Term 4 Program

Term 4 will no doubt be a busy time for out prospective Year 7 students and their families. To help you get organised we have included an important timeline below with key dates.
We strongly encourage all students and families to attend our iPad and Information Evening on Thursday 24th October during Week 3 of Term 4. This will provide families with information regarding the Wodonga Middle Years College 1 to 1 iPad program including; specific devices, costs, purchase options and additional technical support. This session will also provide an opportunity for students and their families to seek clarification around any other transition questions.
We are hoping all families will have a bite to eat afterwards and take this opportunity to build connections and relationships with our College staff and other future students.
Wednesday 4th December in Week 9 of Term 4 will provide an opportunity for students from small schools together with all Koorie students to experience a student’s day at Wodonga Middle Years College. This will ensure students are prepared and excited for HEADSTART the following week.

All 2020 Year 7 students commence their schooling at Wodonga Middle Years College in Week 10 of Term 4 as part of our HEADSTART Program. Students can wear their Primary School Uniforms to HEADSTART.
The following week on Thursday 19th December in Week 11 all students and families will attend a CARE Transition Interview to provide students an opportunity to reflect on HEADSTART, ask questions to ensure readiness for 2020 and to allow families to meet CARE Teachers and start building strong relationships and connections with our College.

Please feel free to contact Sarah Kilner at the College on 02 6057 9000 or via email skilner@www.wmyc.vic.edu.au if you have any further questions.

At Wodonga Middle Years College we are immensely proud of our caring and connected community. It is with great pleasure that we welcome you and your family into our community. I look forward to meeting all our new students and families throughout Term 4.
